Canadian Lawyer’s Top 25 Most Influential in the Canadian justice system and legal profession is now in its 11th year. This year, the final list was compiled based on hundreds of nominations, thousands of votes and voter comments, and input from Canadian Lawyer, Law Times and Canadian Lawyer InHouse editorial panel.

He often appears before the House of Commons and before the Senate to offer expert evidence on criminal legislation and policy. His testimony, opinions, and writing have frequently been quoted on the floor of the House of Commons. He has received the Senate 150th Anniversary Medal for his assistance in drafting complex laws and policies. His commentary and criticism are well regarded in both the legal and political spheres. He co-hosts an award-winning legal and political podcast and is also an award-winning blogger.
